Collaborating with individuals, groups, CIC's, charities & councils in Cornwall offering accessible & inclusive Yoga & Yoga Therapy
Gentle Yoga Rebellion CIC – Making Yoga & Yoga Therapy Accessible to All in North Cornwall
Gentle Yoga Rebellion CIC is at the beginning of an exciting journey. While we’re still in the process of building our own website, we’re happy to welcome you to our temporary online home.
Our mission is to make Yoga and Yoga Therapy truly accessible and inclusive—reaching individuals and communities in Cornwall who may face barriers to wellbeing.
As a not-for-profit community interest company, we reinvest all surplus into our work, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our services for those who need them most.

Our Story
Gentle Yoga Rebellion CIC was born from the lifelong work of our Executive Founding Director, Trish, who has spent over 30 years sharing the transformative benefits of Yoga and Yoga Therapy with individuals who might not otherwise have access to them.
Our mission is to expand this work by bringing inclusive and accessible Yoga and Yoga Therapy directly into communities across Cornwall—particularly where it’s needed most. We aim to reach people who are often underserved: those from low-income or economically inactive backgrounds, individuals living with chronic health conditions or disabilities, and people affected by rural poverty and isolation.
We recognise that existing Yoga initiatives aren’t always truly accessible—barriers such as cost, location, and practice styles can exclude those who would benefit most. At Gentle Yoga Rebellion CIC, we are committed to removing those barriers. By addressing health inequalities and supporting both physical and mental wellbeing, our work also fosters connection and combats social isolation.
By delivering Yoga and Yoga Therapy in remote and overlooked areas, we offer more than just classes—we offer a message of inclusion, dignity, and belonging.
Our Core Team.

Trish Onderdonck-Young

Pete Glynn
Hi, I’m Peter, a retired teacher of Business and former local government officer. Having spent 35 years in public service, my career has been shaped by a strong commitment to social equity and lifelong learning.
For two decades, I had the privilege of working alongside Trish in a local secondary school. During that time, I witnessed first-hand her incredible drive and unwavering commitment to those from the least privileged backgrounds. It came as no surprise, then, to see her channel that same passion into creating Gentle Yoga Rebellion—a social enterprise dedicated to making yoga & yoga therapy accessible to those who need it most.
Guided by the core principles of social enterprise—placing social impact above profit—Gentle Yoga Rebellion is working to open up opportunities for people across North Cornwall, particularly in communities that have traditionally been excluded from wellbeing services.
Although my formal career has concluded, my belief in those values remains as strong as ever. That’s why I had no hesitation in becoming a director of Gentle Yoga Rebellion. I’m proud to support a project that puts compassion, healing, and access at its heart, and I look forward to playing a small part in helping it thrive.

Sandra Bramall
I’m Sandra, and I’m proud to support an organisation that makes yoga accessible to everyone, especially those who often face barriers to wellbeing.
Although I’m now retired, I bring many years of experience from the business world, having helped build and run a company from the ground up. I’m passionate about using that knowledge to support community-focused projects with purpose.
Yoga has had a meaningful impact on my own life – it's a powerful way to bring balance to both body and mind, and I believe it should be available to all, regardless of background or circumstance.
I’ve also spent time volunteering, and giving back to the community is something that truly matters to me.
